Jaspersen
Barbara
Jaspersen has been singing, acting, and writing since the
age of 9. Among her credits in the Bay Area are projects with
John O'Keefe (as Laura Riding in Glamour), Antero Alli (as
Bella Luxor in the videofilm Tragos), Rob Nilsson (as Many
in the film Singing) and Subterranean Shakespeare (Beatrice
in Much Ado About Nothing).
Barbara
has been a member of Copus for over three years.
In addition
to her work with Copus, she has performed and recorded with
Molto Vox, Resmiranda, Mixtape from Mars, the medieval ensemble
Sherwood Consort, Opera non Troppo and Frank Garvey's DeusMachina.
She has recorded backup vocals for Jorge Bermudez's Bermudez
Triangle, Garvey's Seasons of the Veil, and Wendy Loomis'
Piano and Friends. Her vocals are also part of the soundtracks
of the films Premonition and Pixiescope (Dominic Angerame)
and Powers of Darkness (Finn Brunton).
Barbara
also works in children's theater and holds an MFA in creative
writing from the University of California.
