Making
San Francisco home since 1994, Elinor has studied at the Community
Music Center and more recently at The Jazz School in Berkeley.
Here she has begun to incorporate more pop styles and improvisation
into her repertoire with the influence of teachers Mary Fettig
and Mark Levine.
Elinor
has emerged on the local live scene with guest appearances
with the likes of Frank Orral (Poi Dog Pondering) and as a
regular with numerous ensembles working private functions
(weddings and gallery openings). For the past year she has
also doubled on percussion and backup vocals, when not playing
flute, with Skye Elgards' Hazy Blue Project. Elinor joined
COPUS at the end of 1997.
