1. POETS + COMPOSERS, our Internet radio show, is reaching folks worldwide. Each 2nd Friday of the month, we bring to our listeners the very best of the Bay Area. THIS FRIDAY tune in to hear the beautiful, lyrical poetry of the driving force behind Poetry Mission at Dalva's on Valenica Street - Elz. In addition, we'll be playing some of the greatest hits of our 16 months of shows - including Sparlha Swa, Stevie Harris, bandage, Ras Digital, Phoenix Rising, and Copus. 8pm PST. www.artistfirst.com.

2. GREAT GIFTS @ POETIC LICENSE.
You now have access to some beautifully-designed items such as Copus Music ballcaps (soon to be collector's items on EBay!), T-shirts, lunchboxes, and even a wall clock. The lush logo was designed by none other than the famous Peter Greco who counts among his credits the logos for Santana, TV show Cheers, and The New York Times. In the 'Poetic License' section of our store, we are featuring products with designs by San Francisco wizard ramu aki. The bold colors and swirling patterns of power that are his trademarks work perfectly with lyrics by Royal Kent on the 'haves have' blank journal, tote bag, and postcards. Having tested out ordering from Café Press ourselves three times, we have always received gift items within 3 days and the follow-up emails and customer service are excellent. Just a hint: Mother's Day is coming up on Sunday, May 9th. Why not send her something beautiful and unique? Secure and protected orders at: www.cafeshops.com/copusmusic.

3. LISTEN + BE HEARD. After another wonderful event with hosts/poets extraordinaire Tony Mims and Martha Cinader of 'Listen + Be Heard' (www.cinader.com) along with the many great artists of Vallejo, Copus will be returning to feature on THURSDAY, APRIL 22nd. The evening is a great combination of short 'lightning round' poems, longer works, Copus, and a concluding jam of poets and musicians. Those of you in San Francisco - particularly those of you who regularly attend the open mics at Dalva's and Café International - need to get your bodies across the Bay Bridge to Rafael's Bar where you will experience a level of exciting creativity that will leave you trembling with joy! 9pm - $5 cover. If you need directions or transportation recommendations, please contact us. www.rafaelsbar.com.

4. THE CANNERY GIGS. Both Copus and Phoenix Rising (Wendy + Monica) are lined up to do some performances on the newly-refurbished stage at The Cannery. On Fridays in late April they will be starting a farmer's market and on Sundays there will be an antique fair. Both days will feature live performances. Shows are free and from 12noon - 3pm. Stop by, say hello, and have a smoothie or a margarita with us!

Phoenix Rising - Friday, 5/28
Copus - Sundays, 6/20 + 7/4.

5. CUPERTINO GIGS.
Wendy and Monica have lined up 5 performance dates in the next three months at the Yamaha Music Center in Cupertino (just north of San Jose). These shows promise to be lovely, classy events complete with theatre seating, a café, and a gorgeous grand piano (Yamaha, no doubt!). I don't know the exact address yet, but I will leave it on the Copus voicemail message (415-289-2097) when I receive that information from the hosts.

Friday, 4/30 - 7:30pm
Friday, 5/14 - 7:30pm
Thursday, 5/20 - 8pm
Thursday, 6/3 - 8pm.

6. POETRY SECTION.

These poems are by Philip Miron Loomis, my incredible father, and can be found in the chapbook entitled "The Hierarchy of Orange Juice" which is available at Copus live performances and soon will be included in the ever-expanding Copus Catalog (http://www.cdstreet.com/cgi-bin/artisthome_db.cgi?80102). Enjoy!

"Sorrow is thinking -
pushing one's mind beyond limits
like the brook
winding through the fields
or death -
a clever thief
stealing the night."

"A daughter in love
is like a dog
with a new bone!"

"To measure your success, ask yourself:
-have I prevented World War 3?
-have I fed the starving of the world?
-have I built an ocean liner?
-have I launched a rocket to Mars?
-have I invented a cure for cancer?
Or
Have I made on person happy today?"

Peace to everyone,

Wendy + Royal
