JANUARY NEWSLETTER
Greetings and Salutations!
We trust that everyone
has been enjoying the warmth of the holiday season, despite the blustery
weather from coast to coast! As always, Copus brings good news that we
guarantee will put a blanket around your heart and feed your soul.

1. SOULFUL SUNDOWN GIG THIS SUNDAY.
Copus has been asked to a return engagement at the Soulful Sundown service
this Sunday at the Unitarian Church in San Francisco. This has to be one
of the best-kept secrets in the Bay Area (but not for long)! Hosted by
visionary/artist/coordinator Kymberly Jackson, the hour-long service features
some of the finest artists around intermingled with thoughtful, spiritual
messages presented by various members of the Unitarian community. It's
a great opportunity for some quiet reflection and a renewal of hope in
troubled times. 1187 Geary @ Franklin, 5-6pm. Free admission (basket passed
for voluntary contributions).
2. COPUS ASKED TO HOST INTERNET RADIO SHOW.
Some of you caught the show on December 11th when Royal and Wendy were
interviewed by the exuberant Scott Z of www.artistfirst.com. This is one
of the first Internet Radio Networks offering independent artists worldwide
distribution. Apparently, they are enjoying much success as their listenership
doubles each month and several national sponsors have signed on (Office
Max, Excedrin, A&E, Super 8 Motels).
Host Scott Z was so
impressed with the Copus CD, Later Than You Think, that Wendy and Royal
were asked to host an ongoing radio show to present the best of the spoken
word and music talent coming out of San Francisco today. The first two
shows will be recorded live on January 3rd and 10th at the Copus studio
in the Sunset. In addition to featuring Copus, of course, poets Delia
Tomino Nakayam, Jamal Israel, Craig Easley, and Leslie Simon will be in
the house presenting their powerful words to the world. We'll let you
know when these first two shows will be aired. We will also feature recorded
material directly from our catalog of poets and composers (www.copuscatalog.com).

If you have a referral
of a quality poet or an independent musical ensemble for a future radio
show, please email: info@copuscatalog.com.
3. COPUS CATALOG.
Our last newsletter announced the publication of our online catalog of
poetry and independent music, as well as the latest informational technology
to assist artists and entrepreneurs in growing Internet businesses. Unfortunately,
the very afternoon we emailed our announcement, the ISP (Verisign) went
down. Many of you contacted us regarding this and we apologize for your
(and our!) frustration. Everything's perfect now, however, so please take
a moment to check it out. You won't be sorry! http://www.copuscatalog.com.
Wishing you health and prosperity in 2003!
