COPUS PROMOTES PEACE

This Sunday, Copus Music presents: "Language: The Journey to World Peace" at the Marsh Theatre. It will be a very special evening of music, poetry, theatre, and dance. First up is Chicago-based actress Betsey Means who will present a solo theatrical portrayal of Mary Kingsley, an explorer of Africa in the late 1800s; upon returning home, she lectured and wrote books about the necessity of Great Britain getting out of Africa. Following that will be the premiere of "Israel Palestine" - a spoken word/music/dance work composed by Wendy Loomis, featuring women speaking powerful words of peace in 6 languages. Copus will be in fine form to round out the show presenting some new works such as "Story to be told" and "If in life" as well as some of your favorites like "Haves have" and "Obsession". Come check out new drummer Paul Smith!
