1.
NEW VIDEO INTRODUCING THE COPUS CATALOG.
Royal has been working very hard on a prototype slide show
of Copus that combines visual shots from live shows with spoken word
narration and poetry. This prototype will be used not only for folks
around the world to check out the band Copus, but also to check out
the myriad of talent available in the Bay Area whom we've been adding
to our ever-expanding Copus Catalog (soon to appear on the www.copus.net
website as well!). Here's a sneak preview - check it out at:

2. UPDATE ON INTERNET RADIO
SHOW. The radio show we produce for www.artistfirst.com has
become a monthly series. The airing date has been established as the
second Friday night of every month, 8pm PST (11pm for our East Coast
friends). This is a great development as now listeners can be assured
that "Poets + Composers" will definitely air at a regular
time. The next show, scheduled for November 14th, will feature the wondrous
poetry and stories of Timothy Trygg (just returned from a whirlwind
European tour) and Vernon Small (just returned from an inner whirlwind
tour to the Zen Buddhist Center at Green Gulch). Check them both out
November 14th!
3. TV SHOW PROGRESS. A
lot of our concentration recently has been centered around preproduction
of the TV Show, "Poets + Composers". It will be a weekly,
30-minute studio production featuring live guest interviews and performances
by independent artists with a positive message. All artistic mediums
will be represented, including poetry, music, dance, photography, theatre,
technology, and visual arts. Your hosts will be none other than Royal
and Wendy of Copus and Tony Mims and Martha Cinader of "Listen
+ Be Heard" from Vallejo. Right now we are gathering the crew,
the talent, and the funds necessary. If you can be of assistance in
any of those areas (particularly the latter), we would be much obliged!
4. LISTEN + BE HEARD @ RAFAEL'S
IN VALLEJO. Speaking of Tony and Martha, congratulations
are in order to both of them in the birth of their baby boy in September.
They are continuing their phenomenal "Listen + Be Heard" poetry
event on Thursday nights in Vallejo and Copus has been asked to return
as the feature act on December 18th, as a prelude to all of your holiday
festivities!
5. NEW COMPILATION CD. Thanks
to the referral by Barbara Jaspersen, one of Wendy's compositions has
been included on the recently-released CD entitled "Songs for World
Peace" ('in the dark' - featuring the awesome vocals of Liz McDonough).
Compiled and produced by the very talented Eddie Foronda, the compilation
includes a myriad of musical and spoken word expressions about the ever-pressing
issues of war and peace. To hear streamed snippets or to purchase the
CD, please visit: http://wwwpeacesongscd.com. Also, the selection from
the CD entitled 'Babylon Captivity' by Sandfly will be played on the
November 14th radio show - so tune in and check it out!
6. POETRY SUBMISSIONS.
We want to again thank those of you who submitted your poetry to us.
We received some great poetic musings which we will feature on the copus.net
website soon. Be sure and check in periodically for the updated site
at: www.copus.net as we expand on the idea with our very own Copus Poetry
Contest!
7. MAKE YOUR KNOWLEDGE SELL!
Here is a link to our website which centers on making money
from your hobby, experience, interests, work, ideas and such. You can
make it happen at: http://myks.sitesell.com.
Thanks for reading,
listening, thinking, and keeping it real!
