Royal
has opened major reggae concerts including for Toots & the
Maytals at the Warfield, The Wailers at the Greek Theatre,
and Peter Tosh at the Monterey Fairgrounds (produced by Chet
Helms/Family Dog). Kira Njinski, daughter of the great Russian
ballet star Rudolph Njinski, said: "This man recites poetry
the way my father once danced."

Royal
Kent produced Raw Talent Show at the California Hall in San
Francisco which featured Rhodessa Jones and included 12 hours
of poetry, music, and dance. For Channel 25, Viacom Cable's
public access channel, he produced the innovative weekly shows
Friday Night Live, Nineteen Eighty, and Into the Eighties.
He hosted a radio show by the same name on KPOO, 89.5 FM.
In Hollywood, Royal was the associate producer for the All
Nite Show, a five-hour, live variety program hosted by Nick
Edenetti. Guests on the show included Mable King, Jackie Vernon,
and Steve Allen.
Royal
attended New College of California and earned his bachelor
of arts degree in Television Production and Management from
the City University of Los Angeles.
